WHAT IS THE GAME "CHIPS"?

Chips is Crooked Caddies’ flagship game, created by Bill Lee (the mascot). The game uses 12 wooden chips; each tied to a rule you want to avoid breaking.

If you break a rule, you must put that chip in your pocket. When someone else breaks that same rule, you pass the chip to them—but only if it’s already in your pocket. If the chip isn’t in your pocket at the time, it can’t be passed. Multiple rules may be broken on a single shot.

Make a birdie, and you may remove any one chip from your pocket and return it to the pot. After 9 holes, all chips reset to the center, and everyone records how many they had. The game restarts on hole 10. After 18 holes, players add their totals from front 9 and back 9. Whoever has the most chips pays up.

**BILLS TWIST**: To raise the stakes, each chip can also be assigned a dollar value to increase the competitive fun!
